Whiteout Survival Fishing Tournament: Guide Unlocking, Operation Techniques, and Leaderboard Guide
This event happens once a month and lasts for 3 days. It typically runs from Tuesday 00:00 to Thursday 23:59.
The event rotates by season (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter). Fish will appear in two or all seasons. Participating in 3 seasons is enough to catch every fish species.

Fishing Gear

Upgrade Priority: Upgrade the Hook first because catching more fish gives you more points. Next, upgrade the Line to reach high-score fish. Finally, upgrade the Sinker.

Normal Ice Fishing
This mode consumes Bait. You start with 5 items. You gain 1 item every 3 hours. The maximum limit is 10 items, so you must use them before they reach the cap. Your gear effects are based on your actual upgraded levels. Only use the Lantern tool here. This ensures you reach a good depth to farm points for your daily upgrades.

Treasure Fishing
This mode requires the Treasure Chart item. You receive 1 free item every day. Your gear effects automatically reach the maximum Level 10. This means you have a 550-meter depth and a 20-fish catch limit. You should use all your tools here to get a high score.

Operation Techniques
Edge Method: Keep your hook on the far left or far right edge of the screen while it goes down. This reduces collisions with fish. However, you must watch carefully for small fish that suddenly move fast.
Center Method: Move your hook down from the middle of the screen. This gives you more space on the left and right to dodge. This method is very helpful for reacting to small fish that suddenly move fast.
High Score and Leaderboard Tips
Combine the Treasure Chart, the Horn of Poseidon, and the Icefisher Voucher. This combination guarantees one 5-star fish and one or two 4-star fish. The voucher also multiplies your score by 1.5. This maximizes your total points.
Restart Mechanism: You can quit the game before the results screen appears. If you do this, you can enter again and restart. The types of fish will stay the same, but their locations will change.
Normal Ice Fishing Restart: The Memorabilia items and the 2-star Diver characters will change when you restart. You can use this method many times to collect them and complete your Guide.
Event Start Phase: Use your Treasure Chart items first. These items automatically increase your gear to Level 10. This helps you earn points to quickly upgrade your actual fishing gear to the maximum level. This strategy gives you the highest possible points in Normal Ice Fishing.
Gear Upgrade Order: Upgrade the Hook first. Catching more fish gives you more points. Next, upgrade the Line to reach high-score fish. Finally, upgrade the Sinker.
Free-to-play players should save a large amount of Treasure Chart items and Horn of Poseidon items over several events. Do this before you try to compete for a high rank on the leaderboard.
